Florescent lights are available in several forms and the tubes vary according to length, wattage, color temperature and diameter. Light is equally intense along the length of the tube, providing consistent illumination across the aquarium. Florescent's produce a modest amount of heat and can satisfy the demands of most aquarium inhabitants.
Very high output (VHO)are fluorescent tubes that produce a much higher wattage.
